Summary: Correspondence, newspaper clippings, meeting minutes, brochures, pamphlets, and newletters relating to Don Pace's hardware business, water issues, and other activities. There is correspondence concerning building the Safford First National Bank in 1956; meeting notes, brochures, and clippings from the Arizona U.S. Highway 70 Association; correspondence and minutes of the Arizona Historical Advisory Committee, 1967-1969; Arizona Historical Society convention brochures, pamphlets, and newsletters; campaign literature and political propaganda (F.21-22), 1948-1956; memories of life in Nutrioso, Arizona collected in 1973 and 1980; Safford, Arizona history including "Highlights of the Past, Safford, Arizona"; a "History of Safford First Ward Centennial Year, 1884-1984"; correspondence and a church sermon for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; copies of "Journal of Graham County Historical Society', "Salute to the Command," and a great deal of material, mostly reports, about Central Arizona Project, reclamation, flooding, the Gila River flood control and irrigation, and water planning. There are a few photographs of machinery, a 1978 dedication of the Apache Power Plant, and flooding at Duncan in 1941.

Biographical note: Civic leader and businessman, Safford, Arizona; Don Pace owned a hardware store and served with the Graham County American Red Cross, Graham County Democratic Central Committee, Safford Rotary Club, American Legion and Elks Club. He and his wife, Carlotta, were interested in Arizona history and involved with the Arizona Historical Society and the Arizona Historical Advisory Commission.
